World Environment Day 2023 was celebrated in the premises of MIST organized by MIST ENVIRONMENT CLUB.The programme started with tree sapling by the honorable commandant Brigadier General Muhammad Wahidul Islam.A keynote paper presentation on #BeatPlasticPollution was presented by Dr. Abdullah Al-Muyeed, Chief Operating Officer (COO), DPHE.#BeatPlastic -this pressing issue was the focus of a panel discussion which brought together academia, researchers, government officials, business leaders, and youth representatives.The discussion was organized by FAO's Pesticide Risk Reduction project in partnership with MIST and the Department of Environmental, Water Resources, and Coastal Engineering. Brigadier General Muhammad Wahidul Islam, SUP, was present as the chief guest. Saso Martinov, who is leading the project, was the special guest.
